You are lucky. I spoke with an IIO yesterday and she refused to do a search on my name. I guess it really depends on who you talk with. Thanks for your info. I will keep trying.

Applied for 485 on 6/28/2001. As you all know, no receipt yet & the way things are I don\'t think it\'ll be coming thru\' anytime soon ..

It looks that I\'m the only one who filed I-485 before 4/20/01 but has not received a receipt. I spoke with an IIO last week and she refused to search on my name.

GC_Kool, I suggest you call IIO again, maybe this time you will get a nicer officer on the line and is willing to search your name. IIO is not all bad, some of them are more humane.
