Lets Start Jan 2002 Appointment, Delhi Thread.

My interview date is 17th Jan

Packet 3 reached Nov 17th, entered in their system on Nov 28th..
Looks like the date assignment is random.

I am going to start a new thread for Delhi Jan appointment, list of documents and fundas. This thread seems to be becoming too long.
I reconfirmed about PCC and a PCC from consulate in US is enough for us.
Not sure when they will mail packet 4.
Sudhir, others do you know how can one get packet 4 from the window at the US embassy, does the person need some authorization, what timings etc??
 
Any person can walk in with your name and case no. to pick up packet 4.

P4 can be collected after 1 week of mailing. SO try getting it from week of 24th dec.

  American Immigration Lawyers Association (of which we are members) today
  regarding changes in processing in India. We have copied that notice below.

format of PCC from passport office.

HI All,

Do anyone know the format of PCC from passport office. Did anyone get
issued please help me.
Any idea, what is a format of consulate PCC, i guess that should be same as passport office PCC.

DId anyone call Delhi Embassy last night/today morning ? I called for a long time no one picked up.

Wondering if it was a ID holiday in Delhi US Embassy. Their web site does not show it as a holiday.

Anyone got P4 hand collected yet? Please post. Heard there might be a form for PCC in it?

Any new interview dates?
 
My p4 reached delhi address

It has the same form as mentioned in mumbai thread
that starting Jan 2002 all CP applicatnts have to get two police certificates
1) from local police autorities
2) from regional Passport office

my interview is JAn 23rd
 
No luck in calling yesterday

I tried to call US embassy in Delhi yesterday betweeen 10:00 to 12:00 IST but to no avail.. it was my first attempt...i\'ll try it tonight too...lemme know if u wanna ask anything speicific..Good Luck :)
 
PCC from Houston

Folks,
I applied to CG Houston for my PCC only last week.

I am still trying find out my interview date(P3 entered in New Delhi consulate on Nov. 7).

Do you know how long the PCC takes, and how can I expedite so that I can get it in time for my interview (hopefully in January)

If your P3 was entered on Nov 7 .....U would most prob have a Jan interview ...The PCC from Indian Consulates in US would take 30-45 days ...so your option is now as when You had applied.

If your Passport is issued from Delhi ..You will get PCC in One day thats what they say else 2 weeks

Call US Consulate in Delhi....Find Your date and fly ASAP

Take some Green money ..It will do the talking there
