AVM changed to "case has been approved" on 12/4. I am traveling and will only get a chance to check my mail on 12/7 and "I EXPECT" the card is waiting for me sitting in my cozy mail box!!!

What was the case with your H-1? When did it expire? Did you have to resign from your job because H1 expired? Please respond.

My H1 is going to expire on 12/15. Hopefully everything will be cool when I find my EAD card in my mail this Friday 12/07.

H1 expired on Nov 14. Laywer said it was okay as he had applied for EAD 2 months ealier. I am not sure how true that is. I continued to work thru this period.

The fact that my RD and ND are before Nov 14...I don\'t know if that\'s significant.

PS: Both my wife and I received our APs in the same envelope, unlike EAD!

ramuk my lawyer strictly said i need to show him the EAD card to continue to work. your attorney seems to be rational and mine seems to be more conservative.
 
AVM changed to Approved.

MD: 12/13 ND: 12/21 new card ordered on 1/07/2002 approved 1/10/2002.
Saw postings that it takes 3-4 days after approval to get the hard varsion of EAD. I hope that true... Good Luck to everyone :)

It is differing from person to person. I am seeing not a single case mentioning about receiving appointments for EAD interview.
But I received it

RD - July 3rd, 2001
ND - Sept 5th, 2001
13th Nov 2001 --first appointment for EAD interview
Jan 25, 2002 .-- 2nd appointment for EAD interview

Yes if you are on H1 good to get H1 extension. If there is any problem in Green card still you can work on H1 till 6 years and also you can get your dependent( spouse or child ) on H4.
 
anybody got RFE for EAD?... the AVM says a rfe was sent for EAD Application.

My wife\'s EAD approved and received the Card. AP for both of us approved. but My EAD Card message says RFE was sent..
 
EAD - RFE (VSC)

my wife got her EAD but they sent me an RFE - they want me to send another 2 new INS pictures as the one I sent initially was not clear in color it seems. I went to Walmart had my INS pictures for me and my wife and sent them (Initially). My wife got her EAD but they asked me to send again.
