Legal status of children

Hi,

I filed 485 in June 2002. So far I am working on my H1B and our
visas are valid until Dec 2003. After Dec I am planning to
work on EAD.

I have some questions on status of my children since they will not
have any visa after 1st Dec other than pending 485 application. Do I have to make a special request on derivative applicants?

Your status and your dependents status are classified as AOS(adjustment of status). You don't need any other legal document or status if you are in AOS. You may be aware that for travel you and your dependents need AP.

I presume that you have applied for the 485 for all your dependents and spouse. If so, they're safe even if your H1 (their H4) expires. No other documentation is required.
