I have a lucrative job offer from overseas that will have me be away from US for long period of time. Here's my current status :
- GC holder since March 2001
- Married to a US citizen
- Own a business that grosses about $1/4 mil / year
- Own a condo with my wife
- Have credit cards, bank accounts, loans, etc.
- Own two aircraft and two cars..

So, all these things are not going to go away while I am gone doing the work overseas.

Despite qualifying for the citizenship much earlier than today i still haven't applied to US citizenship. (I had other priorities)
I am planning to file for N400 processing in June. I have been away from US since April 2006 and will probably not return until August or September 2006.

After this period, I will be able to make short but frequent trips. My employer has agreed on letting me take few days off for finger printing and interview, etc.

My goals are :
1. Not to lose my permanent resident status
2. Get my citizenship in next 6 months or so (that is the processing timeline in Seattle area)

This job that I want to get will help me to get my lifelong dream accomplished, but it won't be worth to risk both permanent residency and citizenship.

Your thoughts?
