Leaving to India due to family emergency

I may have to leave to India due to a family emergency. I am on H4 and my husband recently changed jobs. I have the papers for my previous H4 approval but it is not stamped. The new visa was applied on Aug 2002 and we recently got a query. Can I go to India and come back into the US? Thanks.
 
If U dont have a valid h4 stamp then coming back might not work. I am not sure whether you can try getting h4 stamp with old H4 approval papers, one especially is from a company your spouse no longer works.
However, your travel will not affect the H4 extension/transfer...
