Leaving the states a couple of days after entering

Hi,

I recently received my immigration visa and planning to make a trip to the states. However, due to some emergencies, I cannot stay there more than 4 days. I am wondering if I leave the states after 4 days, I can later (say 1 month later) return to the states. I am sure that I will not receive my green card in that short period, so how I can later enter to the states?

When you enter USA with your immigrant visa for the first time, they will stamp your passport which will serve as temporary evidence of permanent residency, valid for 1 year.

Also, do you know anyone at the address where the green card is going to be mailed? If yes, you could have that person courier the card to you.
 
Thanks for your reply. Yes I have some relatives in the states who reside at that address. Do you know how long does it take to receive the green card after entering?
