Leaving the country for > 180 days during I-485 processing...is it abondonnement

Hi

I have a quick question. I have my I-485 processing going on in US..................but my company moved my job from US to canada.

so I took up a temporary position in the same company but in canada as of last november....................untill now.......which is greater than 180 days.................
I have travelled twice to US in march and april - using AP.
so when does the counter start for the 180 days (abondonnement) start..............the last time I left US or is it the total of 180 days starting from my application of I-485.

now i have a job offer form another US company......
I have an RFE for my I-485...............if i use AC21 and send in the reply to RFE.........................will they consider me going outside the country as abodonnement??????????????

GC is about future job. You can meanwhile be anywhere. In my opinion there would be no abandonment- as long as your GC job in US is still on.
