See ya'll later headed out now for my ACS appt in helena Mt its at 8am and its a 100 mile drive :) Ya'll have a good day

What did you have to bring to your fp/biometric appointment?? What do you generally have to bring to this kind of appointment? Just the notice? Or do you need to bring more stuff??

Bring your notice that says you have this appt. also bring with you photo ID that is not expired (Passport, state issued ID, DL that kinda stuff) I also brought My spouse with me...Its pretty easy and laid back at least mine was here in Montana went and xrayed my purse asked to see my ID and hubbys ID and sign in then go to the window and give em your notice they come back give you a piece of paper and your notice and you fill out the info on the paper and then hand it back in and wait for them to call your name...They call ya give the notice to the person that does your FP and also your photo ID and then the FP person takes 22 FP's and a pic and then they hand you back your appt letter stamped then you sign out and your on your way thats it :)

You guys are stressing out about the best part of the whole process, or the nicest :D. I thought so because the people at the FP place weren't employed by USCIS and were very professional, nice, and friendly. So don't worry much about this. It would be a breeze.

Oh my bad! Sorry about that. I guess there aren't enough applicants at the USCIS offices in MT to start a separate FP/Biometric center :D. It would suck for someone living in some small town in Northeastern MT to drive all the way to Helena. This process is outsourced to a third party agency in most of the big cities. That is a welcome change after the big egos and incompetency you normally see, dealing with the USCIS people. I had done mine in Dallas and the people there were the nicest that it had me wondering if all of the USCIS process wouldn't be a lot better if they just had people like these doing it. Oh well, one can only hope :D.

I just got back from my Biometrics appointment. Walked in with my appointment letter and passport, no scanning of bags, nothing like that. Filled out a form with date of birth, name, alien number, etc. Then was given a number to wait. When I got there, the number was 832, my number was 868. I was in for a long wait, I knew that :) Took 1 and a half hours before I was seen. They took my fingerprints (that was a trial because my fingers are quite creased from dryness). They finally managed to get the computer to accept my fingerprints, then I signed that those were indeed mine, then they took my picture, and that was it. I was out of there in 20 minutes. So all in all, about a 2 hour bit. This was at the Van Nuys centre. This was a light day they told me, usually it's a 4 hour wait. So I was lucky :)

Car nearly died on the way back though ;) Rofl, it's an old car, we need to get it fixed.
