Leaving Employer after 6 Months of getting the green card

I understand that leaving employer atleast after 6 months is recommended.

I would like to know whether the period of 6 months counts from the date of approval or the date of stamping?

My approval took place on Oct. 25, 04 and stamping done on Nov. 12, 04.

Would appreciate any comments. Thanks.

You are a PR from the date of approval, date of stamping does not matter.

if 485 was transferred to local office then are the date of stamping and approval the same??

If you are interviewed/approved and stamped on the same day, Yes.
