Hello Gurus,

My I-140 is approved on permanent LCA (ETA 750) which has a job title of "Software Engineer". So far my all H1's and it's extensions are approved as "Programmer Analyst" job title on H1's LCA (ETA 9035). Both the job title has somewhat different job description.

Now, I need to file 7th year extension for which I have to get H1 LCA (ETA 9035). It is asking for job title, should I mention "Software Engineer" (ETA 750 job title) or "Programmer Analyst" (ETA 9035 job title so far)? My goal is to make sure I get H1 extension as well as it should not affect my I-485 or GC process down the line. My preference is to keep "Programmer Analyst".

Please suggest me what should I keep and when should I change my job title to "Software Engineer".

Thanks,

H-1B job title is your current title. It can be different from your LC future job title. You only need to take your LC job title at the time of your I-485 is adjudicated, but rather right now.
