LC transfer and maintaining priority date

Can Labour Certification and Priority date be transfered from one company to another if the previous company allows me to use my approved Labour Certificate. Can I file for I-140 from the 2nd company using my approved LC from company 1 and retain my priority date as well ?

It is only useful to extend your H1 beyond 6 years from a new company using old company LC.
