LC approved, EB3, Going into I140/I485

Guys,

I want to start this thread to benefit from each other's experience and knowledge.

My Labor certificate was approved on July 25th, 2005. I fall under EB3 category.
PD: Aug 2002

Looking forward to hearing from all folks in same boat as I am.

Can I file I140-I485 together?

LC: July25,2005 (Texas Backlog center)
PD: Aug05,2003
EB3

Does anybody know?

No, You cannot file I-485 now, because there are no visa numbers available in the EB3 category. You can only file I-140.
 
My Company is acquired recently by another company

My Company is acquired recently by another company. I am still working in the same job, location. Also company name is not changed. What documents will be needed for I-140 keeping this scenario in mind (for EB3). Because we don’t have Annual report with old company name any more, however I believe we still have Federal Tax ID separate from the parent company. Shall apprecaite help. Thanks

Going forward with I-140

I am gradually moving forward with I-140 application. Everybody is slow, I mean everybody. It is so frustrating.

I have started assembling Birth Certificates for I-485. Strategy will be to keep the application ready and as soon as some news in late September or early October, we should be ready to send the application.

Anybody else on same boat as I am?
 
I-140 Applied

Finally, after a month long battle, the I-140 application was dispatched on Sep 1st. Once I recieve the receipt, I will publish the date. Now, the anxious wait for visa-bulletin begins.
 
I-140 received by USCIS, the receipt date is 09/06/2005. My PD is 08/05/2002.
Hopefully, in next couple of days, we will find out whehter the immigrant visas will be available in Octonber and how many?

Labor Approved: July 2005
 
Visa Bulletin for October 2005 is out. Everybody has been taken aback with this diclosure. I am shocked and dimayed. When will I get my freedom? Mercy! :eek:

I am in the same boat (EB3).
Applying 140 this week.

I was surprised by the shocking news!!
 
My I140 has been applied on June 6th but my company attorneys say they have not received the receipt yet. Does it take so long or are they bluffing? How long more should anyone wait for a receipt? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

its too late. Most of the time receipts are being mailed with in a week, max 2 weeks. Def something is wrong. Ask your lawyer to contact the office where they have mailed the pkg
