LC approved 2 years after GC - question

Hi, I have a question. Will you please answer me? Thanks in advance

My employer applied LC in 2003 for me. At that time, actually I was always in 485 status through my spouse. His job seemed risky at that time, which was why I also applied for my own LC. In 2004, we got 485 approved. I told my employer of course. I thought they would withdrew the application.

Today the HR of my employer called me saying my LC got approved. And, since I don't need it any more, they would like to use it for someone else.

My question is, is this OK? Is it legal and fine for everyone? I thought when I told HR in 2004, they already cancelled the LC application.

Thanks

Absolutely. It's not your LC, it's the employer's.

I know it is the company's. My question is:

I got my GC in 2004, does this automatically invalid the pending LC filed for me in 2003? Is it legally for my employer to continue the LC after I told them that I already got GC in 2004?

I ask the question because I hope things are fine for everyone, me and the one who will use this LC, who is my co-worker and good friend. I just feel confused and weird that a GC holder can still have an approved LC.

Thanks

As I said, the LC isn't "yours"; it belongs to the employer. If they employer didn't use it for you, they are free to reuse it on another alien.
