First you should let the forum know what's the RFE's about and then only one can offer suggestions.

If I were you, I would always want my lawyer to respond to RFE as they are professionals and they can handle it better. But again this is a personal choice one has to make.

You can reply to the RFE provided if you have the original copy of RFE letter being sent by UCIS.

There will be a note on ur RFE saying "This Notice contains your UNIQUE number and must be re-submitted IN THE ORIGINAL with the requested information".

But still I would say , you should go through a lawyer.

btw, Who gets the original RFE? Lawyer or you?

i dont receive the REF notice yet.. i dont know what is required.. but i think it would be W2, paystub, tax return and employment letter which i couldnt submit with I485 application. bc i didnt work back then.

and I dont trust my lawyer and i dont think he is good at immigration. All he did on my case was filling-out my application. and i paid him for $5,000.

Anyways.. thank you guys..
Madman72,
Should I sumit the original notice of REF to INS? is that what you said?

Yeap. When you reply for your RFE, you need to re-submit the original notice of RFE back to INS.

btw, Does he going to charge you for replying for RFE? Is that not included in 5K you paid for Green card process.. man thats weird..

Good Luck!!

thank you Madman72,

I know it is weird.. if i knew earlier.. i would not work with him...but too late i guess... he charged me for translation for birth of affidavit , photocopy of I485 application and docs, UPS.. i think he will charge me for REF..but i didnt talk to him about it yet..
