Layoff is coming, please help!

Hi all,
I just heard from a internal source that my company is going to have a big layoff. this very likely will affect me. I just want to be well prepared if that really happens. Here is some basic info:

NSC EB3
RD : 7/16/01
ND : 8/23/01
FP : Done in Jan/02
Currently on H1 until April/2004
EAD valid from May/2002 to May/2003 although I haven't used it yet.

My question is, what happens if after being laid off, while I am looking for new jobs, INS issues a RFE for employment letter?? and how to get a attorney to take over my case from my "EX" employer's HR??



Any input will be greatly appreciated.

HI

First find out the Job using your EAD. After that every thing will be fine. But You should be careful about job that should be what you mentation in your lobour. Actually if the INS send some REF then you can say after six month you changed your job. Thata comes under AC21 law.

Better talk to your lawre first.

Thank you for your reply, actually my concern is, given the economy situation, it might take some time, let's say, more than a month to get a new job, what if INS issues me a RFE during this time???
