i have been layed off with effective termination date of June 30. when asked, my employer indicated that they donot revoke h1. after my termination, i wil continue to get severances pay along with benefits for couple of weeks after that.
However, the pay check until after working day of June 30 will show 'Regular' and after that will show 'Severance'
can anyone suggest,
1. Do I need to file another H1 right away i.e. by June 30th
2. Or do I have until the time till I get Severance pay to find another offer that sponsors H1, and then transfer...
