i am in a pretty precarious position,
i waas laid off , i have my 140 in process, my 6 yrs expires in march 2007.

can i get a new job and transfer my H1 to the new company , and then if my 140 gets approved, apply for extension from my new company? and refile my GC process with the original PD?

any inputs plz...

Find a new job
Apply for Perm right away
Then apply for I-140.
If your I-140 is approved before March 2007 you can extend your H1 for three years.
Depending upon if your current I-140 is approved by then and it is not revoked by your current employer you can use your previous PD.
