Lay off before 180 days, EAD approved,can I accept new job

Hello,
Is anybody in this situation.Filed for 485 on Jan 16th ND Jan 18th.Got 60 day lay off notice on mar 31st.So will be in payroll till may 30th.180 days will be in Jul.can I get into a new job before Jul? Will the 485 continue? Please reply.

Hello Fluffy, it's an unfortunate situtuation to be in.

Here's a scenario i have seen , laid off in less than 6 months into the 485 but EAD was on hand. The approval came in without RFE and no questions were asked. He got the GC.

I would advise you to contact a lawyer & review options. Try to get a similar position elsewhere asap.

Thanks a lot.That makes me feel good.In the meantime I am looking for a job just in case there is a job verification RFE.My attorney is not giving me enough info.He says it is bad news and is just asking me to get another job after 180 days.
