Hi all,

My attorney sent my EAD renewal to NSC, and I got a receipt with Lin-08-XXX-XXXX. All of my previous EAD/AP and I-485 applications are processed at TSC. Will that be a problem? Thanks.

Bill

You probably live in a state that it serviced by NSC under the new direct filing rules.

Simply: no, that's not a problem. If there were a problem, NSC would have rejected the application and returned it. The fact that they accepted it and issued a receipt means that the application is properly filed.

Hi jk0274,

Thank you very much for your explanation, and I feel much relieved. I live and work in Ohio. In 07/2006 my I-485 was sent to NSC, then transferred to TSC. But all my previous EADs were issued by TSC. You are right, the fact that NSC sent me a receipt means that they accept my petition. Where can I find the new filing rule?

Hopefully the new Memo for name check will bring me green card soon!

Bill
