Lawyer Filed at wrong center , Pl help
My lawyer sent the I-140 and 485 and all other applications for EAD, AP and finger printing to the Texas address, but some how it was forwarded to the Vermont center by the BCIS. They have given the receipt numbers also with EAC prefix. I am employed in South Carolina and it should be filed in Texas. Do not know why it went to Vermont. Does any one know what will happen to the case? Will they send it back to Texas or issue the EAD from Vermont and continue to process from there? My Attorney is not helping in any way. Please help me.

RD Jan 15 2004 for all the applications.

Thanks

ginnu ,

the company I work for, has branches all over the US . It has head office at South Carolina and branch in NY. I work at SC and stay at SC. The lawyer office is at NY. The labor was done at Atlanta GA. I think the lawyer filed in Vermont because her office is in NY.
Also the company recently got merged with another company and the head office is now at California. I may be moving to California after a couple of months. If I file AR-11 will it be ok to continue from there and follow up with the VSC? If I get the EAD and AP from VSC, is it valid?
I am in my sixth year. Please let me know.
ginnu , thank you for your answer in advance. I have seen your answers to be helpful in the other threads. I appreciate your time. Thanks
