an important issue for everyone out there.
should we take a lawer with us at the time of interview in case you visited cop or renewed NP even with genuine cause.?
two friends of mine had negative experience in this regard.
first one,in sanjose,ca DO he took lawer with him.first of all officer was mad at looking at him and said you cannot come with the applicant.after arguing with the lawer he let him sit at the interview.now,it's been year and half his case is still pending.
second case, last month in san francisco, this dude went alone at interview.first thing officer said to him,"you are smart ,you didnt bring the lawer with you."FYI this dude had put no in the question of have you ever arrested.the officer pillipino guy had him put his cop arrests dates on n400 with saying its honest mistake.
so let's discuss, lawer or no lawer.cuz i have hired one but thinking not to take him at interview.

this is crazy because application itself has a provision to be filled out by someone and that someone can be your lawyer. And if it is your lawyer, then he can represent you at the interview.

I renewed my NP to obtain visa for UAE and went there twice. Never went to COP. I am not taking a lawyer with me.
I also know 2 individuals who renewed their NP and one of them even went to COP a couple of times. Today they are both citizens, and neither of them were questioned about Asylum, renewal of NP or COP.

This has been discussed many times before. And to a particular individual it's a game of chance whether it's going to be questioned. So the conservative approach is to be prepared.
