California has highest number LC filings than any other state in US. That may be the reason for slower processing time.

the sum of all the numbers above result in 98,779. Does this mean that the total number of LC applications filed in US b/w 2002-2004 is only 98,779? I thought we had a backlog of 250,000+..... :confused:
 
If the data are taken from DOL disclosure database, the number only includes the cases that received by regional offices. As I understand, CA has most cases in the database means CA SWA office is most efficient among state offices. Keep in mind, other regional offices have cases from multiple states. Conclusion: There are more case backloged in SWA are not included in the numbers, and CA is doing better than more other states.

In my prior post, I did analysis for only Perm_FY2004:


DOL released data and categorized by the Year the Regional Office made a latest decision on that case.
Ex. In Perm_FY2004 database, Last_Event_Date occured in 2004 irrespective of received_date by Local Office. I see dates, recvd by local offices were from Y01 to Y04
