Last updated date changed on i-140

Checked my portfolio last night, my last updated date which was 09/29/2003 is changed to 05/25/2004, though status message is still same as it was 200 yrs back.

Any one knows what exactly this means? did we have any trend showing us that once last updated date is changed on i-140, it means we must hear something from them in few days (approval/denial/rfe).


People who got there approvals could explain this thing..

Same thing happened to me I didn’t even get email , last update date is changed to 05/04/2004 but NO change in the status.
 
LAXMANY, I assume it happans on may 04th or 5th, and are you saying that nothing happaned after that? no news from them still?

From earlier

I had mentioned on a different thread that a friend of mine had a last updated date of 05/04/2004 and his RFE was issued on 05/11/04. Lawyer got the actual notice on 05/18/04 (which is when my friend knew). The status on the web site still is as before the RFE.

yes, i think it has not value, they must have update record in the database and this stupid date is changed.


Immilaw, what was the time interval after u dated changed and you got RFE?

did they issue RFE on same date?

I-140 Status changed

Hi,
I am in similar situation.
The last update has changed from 10/03/2003 to 05/26/2004.
But the message for I-140 is still the same.
What can I expect? As I read in the above postings do I have to expect an RFE?
Did anyone in similar situation later get an approval?

Please post u'r experiences.

Count me on that.
My 140 last updated status got changed from 09/18/2003 to 05/17/2004. No word yet.
 
is it possible that they get this lastupdated date from there Worload log, I mean may be they have a database of all cases and so many paramemters like in que or not processed, when they did primary scanning of my doc on 09/29/2003, they checked one parameter in database saying "primary scanning ok" and that updated this database field and changed the last updated date to 09/29/2003, now again they alloted my case and so many other case ot say Officer A, and then again in the system they entered "EAC 1 is with officer A" and this way this field is being updated in the database and lastupdated date changed to 05/25/2004.

This officer A may have 10 cases with expected completion date of Aug 15 and now it is upto him to work on them whenever he wants.


Does this stupid theory make sense?
