'Last updated' column on USCIS case status website

Although the description of my case hasn't changed (i.e. case received and pending) I noticed that the 'Last Updated' field has changed on the USCIS online case status service. Any ideas what this means?

Not really,

I would assume the janitor dusted the office and moved it from left to right

In my case description and status never changed.

Found this on the USCIS website:

" Note on "Last Updated" date: Your case may have a new "Last Updated" date and you may receive an Email Notification of your case being updated, without the status of the case changing. This is due to internal USCIS processing being performed on your Case. This will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date, but may not result in a different status message."

This mean someone was working on ur file which is a very positive sign - I would say you will get your IL really soon. Call them up and speak to a 2nd lv IO to find out your case status and let us know

You can see a list of all your case numbers in a table if you register and create an account to track them. One of the columns in the table is 'Last Updated'
