Hi,
My wife and I have completed the forms (I-130, I-485, I-864EZ, I-131, I-765, G-325A) and we just need a few photocopies of supporting docs before sending. The following are the last few questions (I hope) that I have:
1) From so many forum threads, we know by now that we should send our applications to Chicago Lockbox. I would like to use FedEx for ours. I apologise if this has been made so clearly in this forum, but I like confirm that FedEx is considered private carrier and I should address my package to:
Or, for non-United States Postal Service (USPS) deliveries (e.g. private couriers):
U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Attn: FBASI
427 S. LaSalle - 3rd Floor
Chicago, IL 60605-1098
and not the PO Box right?
2) Is my interpretation correct that I-864EZ does not need to be notarised anymore?
3) We are using personal cheques to pay the fee. I have my wife issue the one for I-130 fee and the rest by me. Is it correct?
And all the cheques are made paybable to "Department of Homeland Security", however I noticed on the instruction for I-131 that it said make payable to "U.S. Department of Homeland Security". Should I just follow that for this I-131 fee or does it not matter without the 'U.S.' in front?
4) In part 1 of form I-485, under 'Current USCIS Status', I have 'H1B1' filled in. However, unlike the regular H1B, my length of stay expires one year after the initial entry. So the stamp on my I-94 is not the same as the expiry date on my visa in the passport. For the next column in part 1, "Expires on (mm/dd/yyyy)", should I be putting the date on the I-94 or the expire date on the visa?
5) In our package we have 3 sets of G-325A forms (4 pages each), one filled by my wife + one filled by me to be enclosed under the I-130, and another filled by me as well for the I-485. Is this correct?
6) We have used the fillable forms for the G-325A (typed, printed and signed) and we hand-filled and signed the rest of the forms in black INK. I assume USCIS have no problem with mixing the forms TYPED and HAND-FILLED right?
Thank you in advance, this site has been an incredible in helping people like me answered lots of questions that I had while getting the forms ready.
