Last action effect? New H1 with new Company; Current H1 Extension.

This is the situation: I am currently working for a consulting company at a client site. Client made an offer of permanent employment and I accepted the offer.

My current employer applied for an extension of my H1 before I accepted the permanent offer. Got a recept number and INS says its taking anywhere between 30 tp 120 days for such processing.

Client company is going to apply for a new H1. They were thinking of processing it with priority by paying $1000.00 for a turnaround time of 15 days.

Question is : If my new H1 gets approved in 15 days, and H1 extension gets approved some time after that (last action by INS would be H1 extension ), how would it effect my work status?

Can I work for the client as a permanent employee? Or will I be required to work for the consulting company since the last action was for them?

Thanks in advance

Last action effect

will be meaningful in cases where the category of visa applied for in both applications were not similar.
In your case, it is upto you to take one of the approval as your chosen career path. You are fine.
