Landing questions ??? help

Hi,

I applied in April 2002 from US and got landing papers in Feb 2004...I have to land in Canada by Oct 2004.
My question is -

1) In the application, I showed Toronto as my landing destination . Can I land in Calgary instead ?
Will there be any problem in that ?

2) Does anyone know where in Calgary is the HRDC office to apply for SIN card ?

3) In the application , I showed lot of $ amount I would bring in . Do I have to carry that much amount with me? If yes,
what is the best form to take money ? Will the bank statements suffice ?

4) I plan to go to canada for 4 days and come back to US as I am working here. I only want to complete landing process,
apply PR card and SIN card .
IS it mandatory to apply for health card and open bank account ?

i will appreciate if anyone can give replies.

--> I dont think so. but confirm with better experienced guy.
For example, I wrote in application, "I will land in Toronto". But, I drove from USA and landed in Windsor, Canada.



2) Does anyone know where in Calgary is the HRDC office to apply for SIN card ?

--> Visit these URLs. second one gives all offices. Most of them has Social Insurance number(SIN) facility. dial 1-800 # and confirm.

--> when I landed, I showed them bank statement only. No hard cash in hand. Only $100 in pocket. and before landing canada, I didn't open any bank account in Canada.

--> It is not mandatory to apply for health card and open bank account, beleive me, I applied for SIN card, and not received yet. That too is not necessary. But but better you apply for SIN and PR Card. PR CARD is must.

I work in the US and have to land in Canada before october2004.
I plan to go there in May. I have the following questions appreciate if anyone can answer them.

1.How long do I have to be in Canada before I return back? can I do a weekend trip?

2. Do I have to give a candian address for them to send the Card or can I give the US address?

3. I could not find a strong answer in this forum. So asking again.
I mentioned I will land in Toronto but now I would like to land in Vancouver, BC, which is closer to west coast. Will that be ok?

Weekend is fine...If you want to apply for SIN then you need one working weekday.

Yes, If you give US address then canadian immi office might question you so don't do that give some friends address in CAnada.

I do not know but I don't see any problem but pl confirm with others or CIC.
