After a successful CP interview can the spouse stay back in india for a longer time and join her husband at a later date in the US or do both have to land at the same time in the US

The applicant can come to US first and the spouse(dependent) can stay back and enter at a later date. However for both, the limit of 6 months from the date of visa issue applies.
