I have been laid off by my company. What if I don\'t get a job for another 3 or 4 months and I am called for an interview or if I get an RFE for employment verification??

Anybody with similar situation or knowledge about this scenario please suggest ?? Am I in a position to lose my Green card ??
 
Assuming you have EAD, try to get a job soon with a similar position.

By the time you get your RFE (if you get one), you should be able to submit your employment verification with the new company. Make sure you get a job before your EAD expires and before you get an RFE. This is the smartest way I can think of - kind of sneaky, too.
 
Worst case scenario

Thanks for the info. But in the Worst case scenario, if I don\'t get a job by that time. Then what happens to my Green Card situation ??

What if I try to get a letter from my last employer that they will hire me if I my Green card is approved. Will that help ??
 
Get a letter from your previous employer saying that...

... they intend to hire you back in case the economic situation improves.
