LAID OFF ON H1 in DEC SAME COMPANY REHIRING

I got laid off on Dec 31 and same company is planning to offer me a position. What if company has not reported USCIS to revoke my H1? Can I still continue on same H1 since there has been a gap of 2 months with no paychecks? Please advise.
 
If they didn't report, you should be fine, otherwise you may have to do a transfer application or sorts.
