EAD RD: 4/18/01

I am currently laid-off. And I have been offered a job from another company. Need to have EAD card so I can start the job.

Is it possible for me to get the interim EAD card from the local INS office?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think U need to wait 3 months from RD or ND to get EAD from local INS office. If U dont get EAD with in three months by mail, then U can go to local INS office to get EAD.

You could get ADcard in the same day when you submit your application if your local INS office is in Cleveland, but most INS offices don\'t accept applications. Why don\'t you check with the local office while sending the application to Service Center to save time? Just my two cents.

Fun Guy, is there a ph# to call local INS in Detroit? Where is it located, pl. post the address & ph. no, if you know. Also, can we go to local INS on 90th day or after 90 days only, if you know any cases particulary about getting interim EAB, pl. list any details. I will be thankful for your help!

I came across couple of interim EAD cases (Detroit), try searching this site. I am located in the Chicagoland area and do not have much information about Detroit local offices.

I would say, try your PR skills to obtain an employment letter from your company or find out if your company would be willing to hire you back once the employment situation gets better. You can use that employment letter to satisfy yellow form requirement.

Lets see if someone from Detroit can provide us with more information.
