If one get laid off before I140 approved, but employer committed to support the I140 and I485, what's the risk I140 get denied?

It all depends on how convinceable the adjucating officer will be. Will the immigration officer believe that as of now the employer is unable to offer any employment (therefore the layoff) but at a later stage such a job will be available?

If company does not revoke pending I-140 then there should not be any problem.

Since employer is committed for co-operation there should not be any issues.

thanks both

Actually I am consulant and currently on bench without pay. Is unpaid leave reasonable for the BCIS? For example, take 4 ~ 6 month off to take care of a new born baby.
