It all depends on how convinceable the adjucating officer will be. Will the immigration officer believe that as of now the employer is unable to offer any employment (therefore the layoff) but at a later stage such a job will be available?
Actually I am consulant and currently on bench without pay. Is unpaid leave reasonable for the BCIS? For example, take 4 ~ 6 month off to take care of a new born baby.
