laid off after GC approval but within 2 months after it?

What happens if one if laid off immediately after the I-485 approval, say in 2 months or less? If we were to voluntarily move to a different job, then the timeframe recommended is 1 year but what if it is a lay off within an year?

First of all, is this a problem?

Secondly, the new job can be in a different company, different location, different salary, different job profile, right? Or, should it again be very similar - pay, profile etc.?

Thanks.

---after I-485 approval get the stamp in passport and at that time you can change your address for sending the Green Card, if you are laid off get a LETTER from employer and keep that letter with you till you apply Citizenship becase it will show your Intent to work and Employer not having a job for you.

---NO problem, keep the letter with you
