Labour Certificate Transfer - Please advice

Friends:

Please advice on the following at the earliest.

I was with a company in California for 4 yrs. In Dec 2003 my state labour was cleared and since then pending federal approval. This company is about to close in couple of months.

Mean while, I have a similar job offer from a different company in the same city.

Attorney says he can use this labour of old comany (if approved) in the new company and file for Green Card.

Couple of friends say its not possible. Can you please tell what is the fact? I dont want to waste time in something which is not dooable.

Thanks for all your comments (especially, it was so quick). My lawyer repetedly idicated since the company which is closing is very favourable to me personally and can do what ever it takes to get me GC (since I was with them in hard times.. bla bla ).

And luckily atleast 2 companies come in same zone (which you just mentioned) make sence. NOt only same zone - but its for same employee and same job title / salary etc .

What you again said seems right in terms of other trying this! its too risky cas this kind of coinsidence is rare.

I just wanted to make sure, I was not persuing some old trick or myth.
