Folks,
My I-140 got approved after a 2 year 3 months of wait. It was a labor substitution with a copy of labor.
I got a finger print notice and immediately after 3 days of the finger print I received a email for my I-485 approval.
Thought will share this new with the group and give some hope to the people still waiting.
I-140/I-485 applied simultaneously in Oct. 2003. with a copy of labor.

Hi chicchu,
I think my I-140 took so much time purely due to copy of substitution labor.
After an year or so I got a query on my I-140 for my company's ability to pay.
I as well as my attorney queried uscis regarding my I-140 and the immigration officer responded with the typical message that they were waiting for the labor certification to arrive from the labor department and they cannot do anything until they receive it.
After that I did not have any LUDs until recently. Recently after applying for my EAD renewal, I had a LUD on my I-140 on Jan. 10th and on 16th my I-140 got cleared. Interestingly this did not trigger a change in my online status but the 140 approval came to my attorney's office.
However my I-485 approval did trigger an online status change.

I filled GC using labour substitution, I think lawyer use copy of labour certificate and receipt.
Here are my details.
I140-I485 concurrent apply: 16-Dec-04
FP notice: 7-Mar-05

Any recent approvals from CSC from the cases not transferred to TSC???
URGENT - Priority date is messed up
It looks like my PD in I-140 approval notice is messed up. It shows as my I-140 RD date, not the labor PD. Did any one face similar issue ?. If yes, were you able to correct this ?.
I used a substitute labor for my concurrent filing. Not sure if this is the reason for having a different PD in I-140 approval notice. I am hoping that this can be correctable by talking to CSC.

Earlier I had thought that as I have applied for I-140 with the copy of LC, my case will delay for a long time and I'll get an RFE but nothing like that happened. I was never sent a duplicate Labor asking for my signature.
Anywayz, I am happy that atleast my i-140 got approved within 23 days.

This is crazy fast. 23 days with only the labor copy. Good for you.
Another RFE on I-140 (Says it is on DOL)

They have issued the RFE on Jan 19th and after waiting for 2 weeks of not getting any notice from INS, my attorney has called INS and they have issued another RFE on Feb 1st. On Feb 14th again when my attorney called them, they said in fact it is for the DOL and she said it could be for the duplicate labor but the person from INS was not sure for what it is.
My quick question is if they issue RFE for the duplicate labor on DOL, would they update the case, or do they do internally?Do they issue I-797 form even to DOL??How to find out that howmuch time frame they had given DOL to respond back to INS? What my real big concern is if they have issued an RFE on us (instead of DOL) and if we do not respond in time, INS would deny my case, right?
What is the normal turn around time for DOL to respond back with a duplicate labor? Is issuing an RFE on DOL a normal practice? Since they have opened my I-485 on their own and sent a request to opne my wife's I-485 looks like a positive sign for me.
Please shed some light if any of you have gone through the same situation or in the same boat.

Wife's 3rd EAD and AP got denied stating that I-485 is in closed state(Dec'06)
