Dear Friends:

I need an advise regarding H1-B Visa transfer during my 7th Year of H1-B.

Deatails:
I am in my 7th year extension of my H1-B visa.
(Sep 1998 - Sep 2004 - 6 Years of H1-B)
(Sep 2004 - Sep2005 - 7 th Year of H1-B)

I am with a company and they have filed my green card (labor) in March 2003. (Based on this 365 days labor pending I got my 7th year H1 extension)

Now the talk is my present company is selling itself to another bigger firm. What are my options here? I read that I can transfer my H1-B to some other company. Is that true? Can I transfer my H1 B visa (7th year) and also apply 8th year extension at the NEW COMPANY based on the labor-pending application from my current consulting company.

The current company may not scrap my Labor, but at the same time after the company is sold how valid is the labor itself applied by that company?

Thanks.
Best regards.
