labor & I140

My H1B 6th year ends in March end 08. I have not applied for labor so far. Now I am trying to go through the GC process through my future employer. This is what the advice I received from my friends, could someone provide your feed back or share your experience on the same.

I found a company which has its advertising already running for my position, through whom I can apply for my labor immediately and once the labor comes through in couple of months (by feb 08) I can apply for my I140. And I heard that I140 takes around 6-7 months as perm processing has been stalled. As my 6th year expires in march 08, I could go for 2 months earlier than my 6th year expiry out of US and save couple of months. And I get my I140 approved. I can claim these 2 months and come to US and apply for 3 year extension. This is the plan I am hoping to help me stay in US.

Could some some one give me input in this regard Urgently. Thanks to your inputs in advance!
