Got passport stamped at LA downtown office. Reached there at 4:45am and the queue was not all that bad, may be about 150 people ahead of me. There were two officers already issuing the tickets (tokens) in the morning (Grave yard shift). They verify your docs and tell you which line to use.
Door opened at 6:00am and by 6:45am we were in, after security checks. BCIS has remodeled the building and line moved quite fast (atleast compared to 4 months ago when I went there for IEAD, and took 6 hours to get inside.)
Surprisingly by 7:30am almost all the people in the line and who got tokens were inside !!! Can't belileve ! May be because of e-filing of EAD all EAD seekers are gone !! But I noticed that after 6:00am or so they ran out of tokens. So if you want to be served that day, better be there before 5:30am.
Anyways, once inside, it took another 2 hours, before my number was called. Presented I-485 approval note, passport and I-94. IIO did not ask me for anything else.
She filled out a form (l think I-565 or some thing), took FP and and stamped on my PP. Do watch what IIO is writing in the form they fill out. What if they write a wrong A# or DOB on the form ?
That was it !
Note, inside the building, no drinks or food allowed. You may want to eat outside before you get in.
Hope this helps those who are planning to visit INS soon.
