Hi,
Recently my wife went on L1 to US for longterm, assignement is for almost 2 years, now she was trying to do L2 for me. problem is I'm a Software Professional and how should I proceed to apply for L2.

1. In 2006 I applied for H1B and it got rejected due to some Experience problem.
2. Now do I need to resign the current company or I can take leave for for 2 or 3months.
3. What I need to tell to consulate people abt my professional?
4. Shall I show the confirmation letter from my company saying that I took leave for 2or 3 months, no need to show any proofs in consulate.

Please let me know how to proceed further without rejecting the L2.

Thanks,
Skumarreddy

Hello

Dear,

For an L2 Visa, they usally dont ask the questions in details untill and unless it is an special case..You have to face two interviews
1) Embassy-
Here they will ask you the details of marriage & how have you met your spouse & some alubum photos if required?where do you work & so on ?
2) Entry in US-i94-Here they will ask you the reason for being to US?If your spose is laready in US,they might ask her details, her whereabouts?her project ?& they will definetly ask you why have you come here & waht is duration of stay in US ?Is you say what is correct then i dont think any evidencce is required ?
