L2 to H1 stamping in Chennai

Hi All,

My wife came to US in Nov 2004 with L2 visa. She started working for a software firm from Feb 2006 with her L2 EAD. She got her H1(Oct 2006) through a different firm and continuing her job (Corp-Corp). We are planning to go to india in Dec 2006 for a vacation and get her visa stamped in Chennai.
Before coming to india she had 1.5 yrs of IT experience in a small firm, that company no longer exists. She holds a BE in CS.

She is having all the paystubs from Feb 2006 and her job is avaialble when she returns from her vacation.

Please advise the decision to go to Chennai for stamping is wise or not.
and share if anyone had gone through similar experience

Hello friend,
I am also in same situation.
My wife would be travelling to India in Jan 2007, she started working on H1 ( earlier L2) in Oct 2006.
Kindly let me know if you got the Visa stamped in Chennai.
Did they ask any particular number of paystubs, (my wife would be having only 3 months paystubs).
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

My wife got her visa stamped succesfully. Consular asked for current paystubs and bank statements.
