L2 green card processing

Currently my husband is on L1 B visa and I am on L2 visa working as permanent employee.

1. Is there is any possibility I can apply for my Greencard directly through my company?

OR

2. I need to change my Visa status from L2 to H1.

Please give me some suggestions.

It is possible for the L2 visa holder to apply for a Green card and add the primary L1B or L1A visa holder as a secondary beneficiary.

However, there is an inherent risk involved. The L2 visa holder might have to leave the country if the L1 visa holder's work is over in the US and needs to relocate. However, this depends on the stage in the GC process when this happens.

Is it true that the processing will be soon for the GC if I get a GC when i am working on a L2 with EAD and my company does it for me? What may be the timelines? Can we forgo some steps if that is the case?
