L2 for Dependent Mother?

Hi,

I have been reading this forum and believe me I have got more information then I got from the official sites. I hope you can answer my question.

I am being nominated for L1 visa & hence wanted to know if dependent mother can be considered for L2. My mother is totally dependent on me after my father passed away 4 years back. I saw in another forum that in 2002 they started a system for B2 for parents but that again was limited for maximum period of 1 year.

Please help me know how I can take my mother with me legally, if cannot I may have to drop my plan to work in US.

In that case is there a way i can take her, may be in some other visa type B2 may.

Which is the other visa that I can take her which gives maximum period of stay? I mean any visa with which she can stay with me for 2 years or so?

Unfortunately, there are not many options in your case. Only realistic option is applying for B visa, but max stay can not be 2 years.

What if she gets 10year B2 visa, how long can she stay per entry, i know its upto the immigration officer & I94 but can she stay for 1 year per entry? Is there minimum gap between 2 entries?
