I 've come to USA as dependent with L2 visa, which my wife is having L1A visa. We both are working in same company in INDIA. My wife came here as an onsite employer from our INDIA office. I applied EAD(I-765) in online on 28-Sept-2005 and got the confirmation receipt(I-797C). I've got the appointment to give my fingerprint, photo and signature on 28-Nov-2005. My doubts are as follows:
1) Can I search job here and work with this EAD confirmation receipt(I-797C) until I get the EAD?
2) I am an employee of INDIAN company and came here in long leave. Will there be any problem if I work in USA during this leave period?

Please advice me.

Ans. NO. You need your actual EAD to be issued to start working.

I am sorry I dont know the answer to your second question
 
2) From the US's point of view, I do not see any issue to work in the US as long as you have work permit. From your employer's point of view, I do not know if they allow you to work for other company as you are still employee of that company.
