L2 EAD Vs H1B

Hi Friends!

I was working on L2-EAD.

Later my employer filed for H1B. As it was talking time and my EAD was expiring, I applied for EAD extension.

As it so happened, I finally got my H1B and just after a few days recieved my new EAD also.

My Questions:

1. Can I opt to remain on L2 ?
2. My visa stamp is expired and I have to go for restamping. Can I go and get stamped on L2 and ignore H1B?

Any inputs will be a great help....Thanks in advance,

1) If you filed change of status, you have to file another change of status to change back to L2 or go out and come back with valid L2 stamp. Otherwise, you are on H1 status.
If you did not file change of status, you are still L2.
2) if you satisfy all the L2 criteria, you should be able to get L2 stamp and can ignore H1 approval.
