L2 EAD Supporting documents

Hi,

Efiled for L2 EAD on Aug 7th. Fingerprinting done on Aug 31st. I had submitted the following documents through mail as per the I-765 instructions:

1. Confirmation Receipt for E-Filing
2. Copy of I-94
3. Copy of my passport
4. Passport size photos

I had not submitted a copy of marriage certificate or my spouse's Passport/I-94. I was told that people usually get an RFE asking for marriage certificate. Is this mandatory? Can I send the documents proactively with a copy of the confirmation receipt before getting a RFE? Thanks for your response.

Hi,
I Guess marriage certificate is not required if you already have SSN.

You can send docs proactively ( As i did which may be lead to EAD Approval)

1. Biometrics receipt
2. Yours and spouse I-94
3. Efiling receipt
4. Visa stamping pages from your passport.

Hope this helps. It took 8 weeks to get EAD card

Thanks for the response Basav. I do have my SSN already. I'd be sending the documents tomorrow and hope to get my EAD soon. :-)

WHat's the address

Hi,

We have applied for EAD based on L2 in April 07 and gave biometrics in May. But the status is still pending. To which address we should send the supporting documents?

If you had not sent any supporting documents at all, refer to the attached PDF for details. You can also get relevant details from
