L2 EAD applied but yet to receive, meanwhile can visit India?

Hi,

Any help regarding this issue is very much appreciated.

My wife will be applying for L2 EAD. Soon after her application, she needs to travel back to India for about 3 months.

My questions are:
1) Is it compulsory for her to be in US till she gets her EAD?
2) Are there any other steps (like biometrics) that she should complete
before she leaves to India for a vacation.
3) How long it might take for her to complete biometrics?

i have applied for the EAD in July 2007, and i got the Biometric appointment letter within 2 weeks(appointment date was aug 17th). I think within one month u will get the appointment letter, and that time u must appear for the Biometric, otherwise, they may reject your case or it may delay. you can call the toll-free number and enquire about this also...
 
Biometrics notice for EAD

Hi

My friend applied EAD thru mail in Oct.She got the receipt no. but did not get any biometrics appointment letter.
Is it cumpulsory to get the appointment.I saw people getting biometrics who applies online.
