L1B Visa , going back to India

Hi,

I am on L1B Visa here but have left the job and am going back to India now.
Can anyone please advise me what I need to do to cancel the Visa with the US consulate so that they dont keep counting the years on L1 Visa.
Also, if I stay out of US for one year and then apply for a fresh H1, will I still have the full quota of 6 years on the fresh H1 ?

Unless you are in the US, they won't count your L1 time.

If you stay out of the US more than a year, you can get fresh 6 year H1.
