Planning to : Apply for extension, but convert to an L1A
Per the USCIS website, you need to have a min 1 yr of "out of US/home country" Managerial experience to apply for L1A . I came on L1B as a tech lead in the year 2005 and have been working ever since. Recently got promoted to Manager. I want my extension to be converted to an L1A , but cannot find relevant information , if a prior "out of country" experience is required.
Question : How can i justify why i need to be converted to L1A. The fact that i have been promoted to a managerial post just suffices ?
I need assistance in preparing a job description for a conversion of visa status from L1-B to L1-A .. What are the points that i should be writing down.
